About the role
As Program Leader at our Blacksmiths hub, you'll take responsibility for planning and facilitating weekly programs for NDIS participants, from sport and recreation to creative and daily living activities. You'll also mentor and guide a team of support workers, helping them deliver excellent, person-centred support.
This is a leadership role with real responsibility. You'll work closely with our Blacksmiths hub manager and bring structure, enthusiasm, and creativity to everything you do. If you're ready to take the next step in your disability support career, this is it.
What you'll be doing
- Plan, facilitate, and evaluate weekly day programs for NDIS participants
- Lead group activities including sport, creative arts, life skills, and community outings
- Mentor and guide support workers to deliver high-quality, person-centred support
- Develop individual program plans in line with participant NDIS goals
- Liaise with participants, families, and support coordinators
- Ensure accurate program documentation and incident reporting
- Contribute to continuous improvement of programs and activities
- Manage program materials, equipment, and daily logistics
About you
Essential
- Experience working in disability support or a related human services field
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs and activities for groups
- Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- NSW Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Disability, Community Services, or related field
- Experience mentoring or supervising support staff
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate
